I really thank God for my spouse, he goes to church sometimes, but he is not fully committed to God yet. Everyday is a trial because of his drug addiction. But through prayer, the encouragement and instruction I receive from “Love Your Spouse”, my day turns into blessings. I share with him the postings you make and tell him God is helping me to be a better wife. Because of the love and compassion God has placed in my heart, I can really say my husband is a blessing to me. Thank you very much Sister Nancy for your commitment to “Love your spouse.” It has helped me to love my husband more and more each day.

I can’t thank you enough for your beautiful comment/testimony! It is perfect. Don’t “be weary in well doing.” You are in God’s perfect will. His will is for our marriages to be a shining light, whether husbands are saved or not. I am praying for you.

Thank You Sis Nancy for heeding the voice of the Holy Spirit and sharing/discipling us wives!!!
God had used your marriage class and now this blog to help “ME” be the wife that my husbands needs! I know that many times I have let my husband carry the burden of making our marriage work and keeping me happy! These blogs are a daily reminder for me what my role is as a wife and partner in my marriage and what I should be doing to keep my husband happy! Amazing things are happening! Not only is my husband getting the love, care, and help that he needs, I am as well! It is helping me to feel more fulfilled as a wife and stay home mom! The latter has been an adjustment for me because it has been hard to see my worth if I’m not bringing any income into our household. (This is my own personal issue.) I thank God for the daily tune-ups this blog has given me! Me and my girlfriends have shared with eachother from time to time what we are reading on these blogs and how it is causing us to think and react differently in our marriage and the results are blessings!! Again Thank You Lord for placing a burden on Sis Nancy’s heart for our marriages, and Thank You Sis. Nancy for being obedient!! May He Bless you as you have blessed others!!

Hi Yvonne! Thanks for this awesome comment/testimony. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. The devil lies to stay at home moms and tells them they are insignificant. You are battling through that lie. I was there when I gave up my career to be in Gods will. Keep up the great work. You have blessed me today.

Hi Sister Nancy,1st off CONGRATS on the 2 months that’s so wonderful 🙂 Everymorning the 1st thing I make sure to do after I pray is go to my Saved Bookmarks & start Reading your Blogs aka “taking my vitamins” lol. I look forward to it & have to brag I’m your Biggest Fan lol just kidding but I do love Sharing with unsaved Married Women about “LOVE YOUR SPOUSE” because I know what its done in my marriage already…..I thank God everyday for my husband, even when the roads been hard.George & I have been married 3 years, many have said “Oh you both are still in that honeymoon stage”.But in reality it hasn’t always been like that,Before I got Saved I met George & 2 months later we got married yah it was a shock to everyone but when I first met him I was crazy about him.And gave my life to The Lord shortly after that.We have been through so much that I feel I’ve known George my whole life. The Good times we have & all the silly laughter we share has out weighed All The Bad.I’m not working right now but I thank God I married A Hardworking man who is a wonderful Provider,Protector & BestFriend.I’m lucky he calls me his “Spoiled Princess” lol because he always gives me what I want example he massages my back & feet daily,he never tells me what I can & can not buy.He let’s me watch whatever I want on our big tv in the living room while he goes to watch his ESPN on the small tv in our room,Christmas My Bday Valentines Day & Our Wedding Anniversary are all within 3 months of eachother & he always makes them special.Overall I’m lucky I have My Husband.Reading your blogs & comming too “Marriage Makeover” has brought so much Peace in my Marriage. My husband was just telling me last night “Hey Babe you don’t nag me anymore”,I replied yah Thankyou Lord I’m trying lol.I’ve realized that fault in a marriage is not always the husbands fault us wives have something to do with it too.As Women sometimes we don’t want to see it or admit it.I thank God everyday for you Sister Nancy for Changing Lives Forever & I Love You! With A Thankful Heart Love Vanessa Andrea Perez

I love getting this blog on my phone, I get so busy that I forget what an amazing man I am married to. He is so passionate for God, but early in our 30 yrs of marriage I realized he had to learn how to be “a family man as well.” At first I tried informing him about this “need” after all he was a christian & I did meet him in church, surely he would appreciate me telling him what he SHOULD be doing. Ha! needless to say that did not work! I wish this blog was up back then!! In God’s time, he has grown so much. He is a fantastic husband, dad and grandpa. That certainly would not have happened with out him being loved and appreciated! A word to the wise, “Listen up, there are gold nuggets being posted on this blog that will save you a lot of frustration.!” thank you sis. Nancy for “going for it!” You are starting a “save your marriage” revolution!

Thanks so much Maria. I can’t even express how much I enjoyed reading your comment/testimony. Every time I do a marriage teaching, seminar or blog, I am learning as God shows me what to say. Your words put it exactly right. It is that I wish I knew this 42 years ago. But everytime God teaches me a new principle on marriage, I am so grateful that he didn’t leave me “stuck on stupid.” lol!! I guess that is why the bible says for the older women to teach the younger, so they don’t have to make the mistakes we did. The devil is on a rampage to destroy marriages. But Hallelujah, like you said, we are starting a SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE REVOLUTION! lol!!

i recently got married in November but we have been together for 8 yrs. I grew up in church and i did it to make it right with God and because it was time. After i got married i felt like now what? What am i suppose to do? Not wanting to ask anyone,”hey how do i fulfill my role now?” not long after i heard of these blogs. I cant express to anyone how much these have helped and turned my thinking around. Im not perfect and far from the perfect wife but when i do sense God telling me hey watch what u say, forgive, let go of the past, remember todays blog? I try to fix my ways. I struggled with my past and all the hurts but i can say now with all the advice and daily reading of these blogs it has helped me to move on and focus on my future. Everyday is something new and helpful and always an encouragment to try to do something new. Thanks for your time daily and always having something new. I look forward to these everyday. Thanks soooooo much

I know you’ve been one of my inspirations as a wife and a great example to me. These blogs are such a encouragement and daily reminder from the holy spirit in allowing the HS to lead us daily in our marriages. You have the gift of hope to many that I know I come in contact with that feel there is no hope in their marriage. I always encourage them by using the words you teach us. I am honored to have you as my leader, my example, my friend, and my Pastors wife. You are a true heart of gold and are beautiful inside and out! I love you and can’t wait to see more miracles take place through this blog.

First of all, I want to thank you for your daily blogs. I’ve been reading them since the beginning and they have helped me alot. Second, I want to thank God for my husband, Manuel. This past November, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I have to say we’re still in love and that is only because we have the Lord in our lives. We were married in this fellowship in a small church in Lodi, CA. I have to say God blessed me with an amazing man who is hardworking and still has a heart for God. We have four incredible kids, Mike, Danielle, Jeff and David, who thankfully, all they know is about us serving God. I thank God they didn’t have to go through what I went through as a child. We still have our ups and downs, but we know Who to turn to. There’s so much more to say, but I’ll keep it short. Again, thank you Sis Nancy for your exampleship and I always look forward to you coming to Stockton, CA. God bless you.

I first would like to say THANK YOU Sister Nancy for being obedient to God and the vision he has placed on your heart for marriages. I know for myself my husband and me just celebrated our 20 year anniversary in March. I feel very blessed to be married to such an amazing man of God, great husband and wonderful dad. I also know though that having a great marriage takes alot of work and maintenance and oversupply of God’s power and grace. I know that this website will be a tremoundous blessing not only to myself but countless other women who not only take the time to read but also apply what we read. I pray that God continues to bless you and your vision in ways that are beyond what you can imagine. Love you alot Sister Nancy and God bless !

Hi, I started the “praying for your Spouse”. At first you think that your prayers are about “him”, but its like a mirror that reflects back to me. I just prayed for those 30 days, God has really changed us both. I now pray for my children and their future spouse’s and my future grandchildren that way too. God is so amazing!! He so wonderful. I love the fruit that is being produced through this blog. To God be the glory. = ) Thank you for all your labor, we are listening.

Wow, when I think about what’s in my heart when it comes to my husband brings tears to my eyes. He is a testimony of a man that came to the Lord broken up and from a hard life into becoming one of the greatest men of God there is! He is amazing hard working, loving, man of God. He has never said no to God. He has made the worst and best come out of me lol. Your blogs have helped me realize things that I was missing and you made me see there is always room for more. He once told me Barbara all I want is for you to do is just “listen”. Ouch! I am still in the making thank you Jesus. This pass March we were married 30 years :). The powerful thing about that is my family didn’t give me 2 weeks let alone 30 years of marriage. Thank you Sister Nancy for your great example and helping stretch me to always go for “more” of what God has for me. I LOVE YOU!!! God Bless!

10,000 hits is a massive amount and GLORY TO JESUS for giving you the pearls of wisdom to share with us daily!!! Like the sister said Happy 10,000!! Celebrate and Honour God by continuing to minister through this tool He has blessed you with…

I thank God for my beloved, ONLY God knows what we have been thru as a couple but almost 27 years later we are as strong and as much (if not more) in love now, then ever before!! Jon is an amazing man, and my gift from God Himself. I treasure him and always remember what you taught us in Manchester – treat him like a King and he will treat you as his queen…oolala…am a Queen alrighty!!

This past 2 years of my marriage have been the most enriching, real deep planting / growing, refining and inspiring time of all our married life. God got our attention and He is in the business of restoration, purification and sanctification!!!!!

Sister Nancy, God bless you for this blog, for the time it takes to produce and look after, for your obedience to the Lord in starting it and for all the wonderful women who read, add their thoughts and encourage us all by sharing….”Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” NAS

I always consider myself a good wife. I had good example in my life parents and my grandparents just celebrated their 60th anniversary. Since I started marriage makeover andlove your spouse it open my eyes that just taking care of kids and keeping the house clean is not enough. Since I started being interested in his hobby and take care of self especially with my weight. I also stop being his mom start being his girlfriend. My biggest thing was forgiveness and not just saying it and also not bring thing up in front of the kids. I remember that jesus for gave me and it is erased that what I need to do with husband. Thanks so much for being a great example and decaditing your life and time for our marriages.

Us mommy’s don’t need any prompting to brag about our children but when it comes to bragging about our husbands you don’t hear it as much. Don’t have to ask me twice!! I’ve been talking to myself for years now telling ME how unbelievably amazing my husband is because I don’t know who else to brag to lol! Well, truth be known, me getting married was not God’s timing. I spent 5 years trying to stuff my strong, independent self into the mold of a selfless wife and mother. Although I gave it everything I had and actually did a decent job at it, it didn’t come without some serious frustration & resentment. You know the kind that comes when you insist on wearing those jeans that are 1 size too small for you?! The only “good” thing about my decision to get married at the time was that I picked a great guy. If not for God’s grace upon our lives and his redemptive power, I think this great guy would have left my butt a looong time ago. I can’t imagine ANYONE else on the face of this EARTH that could possibly love me more and put up with me the way that he does. My husband has been doing his thing and doing it well for 8 years now. The only “fault” I really see in him is that he’s randomly grouchy. How dare he? I mean he only works about 12 -15 hours a day… The thing I love about him most is that I can count on him. He’s a steady guy, not all over the place. Same job for 13 years, amazing provider without complaining. He makes me and our children feel super safe & treasured. And once I stopped insisting on controlling everything, every $, every decision, I have been blown away by his godly wisdom and I am at total peace following him and supporting him as he leads me and our children to heaven!!! And I must say, the only thing that got me unstuck from stupid was the godly example of older woman, them taking time to teach us younger ones and some amazing books. I wish I could say I learned this on my own 😉 Thank you Sis Nancy for your sacrifice and dedication. I enjoy being part of this blog.

Hi Francisco! I am sorry but I don’t take care of that department. You can call the church in the morning and they can help you. It is my understanding, that they do not have 25th anniversary celebrations in the sanctuary. They will be able to help you.

Sister Nancy, Congrats! on your 2 month anniversary! I am so privileged to work alongside you in the Marriage Makeover class. You have been a confidante, example and mentor. It is no wonder that I am still fighting the fight and I have a great marriage!! I like many other ladies THANK GOD and THANK YOU for taking the challenge on tackling the issue of marriage, especially now at a time when marriage doesn’t seem important to this world. I must admit, I have always thought I had a ‘good’ marriage and didn’t think I needed much tuning up BUT I have learned much and it has enhanced our relationship over and over again! I am sincerely blessed to have a man like Tom. A faithful, strong, courageous man of God. He has taken his role as a leader very seriously. He is the best father, grandfather and husband in my eyes – my Knight in shining armor!
You my sister have found your forte! God’s blessing and continued insight! Reach high because that is where God is taking you! I love you most!!! 😉

Your blog is like an impenetrable wall around my marriage, protecting it from the strategies that the devil tries to use to tear it down! My husband is the most amazing man of God I have EVER known. I, on the other hand, am not so amazing. But, I read your blog everyday, and put the things you say into action. And I promise, I feel like super woman, fiercely fighting to make my husband happy, and my marriage healthy. Thank you. Really, really, thank you! I am honored to be in an army of women who are so willing to fight for, respect and love their husbands. Fight on, ladies!!

God is preparing us for heaven and great things up ahead. We are in an army and we are on the winning side. PRAISE GOD!! Keep up the great work in your marriage!

I want to thank you for all your time you invest in our marriages through this blog, Marriage Makeover or one to one talks. I really appreciate you. God has truly blessed me with an awesome man who loves God. In March we celebrated our 19th year anniversary. As I enjoyed the view looking out our hotel window on the 12th floor I felt so in awe of how great God is- Who would of thought two crazy kids from crazy families could stay married, raise 3 awesome kids and be normal. I thought dude! Its only The GRACE OF GOD! I look forward to your blogs and I must confess there are times I think “Why does she have go there? lol. But I am encouraged Im not the only mental case out here or you wouldn’t teach on it. Thanks again I love and appreciate you!

Congrats on all the views! These blogs are daily reminders for me.Thanks for all the time and insight you put into helping our marriages! When I first heard about the marriage makeover class I thought it was just for women who were not happy with their marriage. I have been blessed with a good marriage and and amazing man so I wasn’t sure. I went to the first class and I cried. I realized there was so much more I could do to benefit my marriage. My husband deserves my best. I am not perfect and at times, it isn’t very easy to do the right thing. I have comfort knowing that God is honored in those times. God has blessed me and I am ever so grateful! Thanks again! Love ya!

Hi Christina! Thanks for your great comment/testimony. You have been an excellent example of a wife, mother, employee and co-workers. Thanks for being a testimony to the younger ones coming up. Also, thanks for your contribution to this blog. God has been gracious to you by giving you a great man but he has blessed him also by giving him a precious wife like you. Keep these marriages in prayer. The devil has many devices, but we are more than conquerors!

As you know Nancy my husband and I are separated but I’m “standing” and believing what God has promised me…a restored man to HIM and a restored husband to me. Your daily teaching about husbands is good…I’m learning how God wants us to treat our husbands and I’m learning how I will live with my husband when God brings him home to us.
With God’s teaching and your daily teaching our marriage will be different. Cannot wait to implement what you are teaching into my marriage. Keep praying for my husband to hear and obey God’s call. PRODIGALS DO COME HOME.

Congratulations for being obedient to God and thus helping others. God’s blessings and remember we are all in between our Promise and our Miracle.

Hi Lydia! I loved your comment/testimony. My prayers are with you and I also have faith that God will bring him home. He will never find peace outside of God and the “companion” that has been divinely provided for him. Thanks for your input and partnering with us for marriages. Love you.

Wow- powerful blogs!! I am part of New Harvest Salinas. I love marriage teachings from our pastor’s wives. I learn something new each time. But to be able to get a teaching every single day is awesome! Sometimes, it’s hard to admit to ourselves when we are in the wrong, but I get “Godly spankings” (as I like to call them lol) all the time when reading these blogs. I’ve only been married for a year & a 1/2 and it’s been a challenge, but I have grown a lot and am still growing. I pray to always have a teachable spirt and have learned sooo much from these blogs. I wait on God to mold, shape and build me into the wife that will make my husband Happy and Proud! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us sisters- God Bless!!

Hi Marlene! What a powerful comment/testimony. You do have a teachable spirit or you would not listen to teachings on marriage or even be convicted about what you hear. God does not give his pearls to swine. He knows you have open ears and an open heart. It is still hard to change our habits and attitudes. That is where the Holy Spirit comes in. God knows it is hard for us, but Jesus left us a helper. The Holy Spirit, Hallelujah! I do what I do in my marriage because I don’t want to quench Gods spirit. I want to be the wife God intended me to be. So daily, I invite the Holy Spirit to stake his claim in my life. You will blow it but don’t condemn yourself. We are more than conquerors!

My husband has always let me be me, I can get pretty busy at times and he never says anything about it he just says hey want to watch a movie. i know that means slow down. As is with all marriages in progress we have had our ups and downs I’ve come to find out my spoiled little emotions sometimes disguise themselves as the Holy Spirit but having all the books, your blog, and many other resources brings me down to earth and makes me able to enjoy my fun loving husband. He truly is the best and makes me feel special.

    Dear Nancy,
I remember back in 1981 walking into your church and thinking how strange it was to hear people talking about God, as if he was really involved in their lives. Before that God to me was just someone who half acknowledged me when I went to church and if I did the right thing, which never came easy to me. I eventually got saved and Jesus became more real to me than anything else.

At that time, in our corner of England, there were no other churches like yours, with a living relationship with God. I found myself attending when ever I could even the marriage classes, despite the fact I was only 18 and didn’t really want to get married.
I remember a study you taught on Queen Esther and how her surrendering to God helped to save her people. You taught how being a woman of God didn’t mean you had to be a nun and that you could enjoy a full life and be beautiful as a Christian woman. Being holy didn’t mean wearing no make-up and looking dowdy but that true holiness meant surrendering every aria of your life to God.

You taught me to apply Gods word to my life and 30 years on I find myself married with 2 grown up children who are all serving God. Every thing you taught me from the Word of God has been true and as I have surrendered to Gods word and applied it to my life, he has given me wisdom with my husband and children.

It is true when Ecclesiastes talks about seasons in life, but for every season I’ve found God provides some resource or means with which he can encourage and draw closer to us.

Yet again he has used you, just as he used Esther, as his instrument by inspiring you to do this blogg. Thankyou for being his obedient daughter, and such an inspiration to women all over the world

    Al my love

    Stephanie 🙂

Hi Stephanie! It is so good to hear from you! I loved your comment/testimony. You have brought me back almost 30 years. Boy time flies to fast. Thanks so much for being a part of my life all these years. It is amazing that we can social network through thousand of miles to England. I could never fully express how your life has been an encouragement to mine through the years. Your testimony has been an inspiration to many people. You keep going for God because His grace is all over your life. Love you so much!!!!!
